Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) Circuits is an important area in modern technological world that has revolutionized the developments in Space technology, Defense, Communication, Instrumentation, Medical Electronics, Computing, Internet, and Modern automations in various industries. VLSI has attained maturity over last few decades during which the technology has shrunk from 10 micrometer to few nanometers by faithfully obeying Moore's Law which states that “the technology shrinks to 1/4th the area in every 18 months”. Thus the designer need to put four times the circuitry in the same area of chip built 18 months back. This has posed challenge to the designers throughout the world and hence evolved into a systematic area of study in all leading universities. VLSI also demands from its designers long and dedicated exposure so that they can evolve first time success chips. Along with complicated chip design various Electronic Design Automation tools have evolved over last two decades posing challenge to the academic community to train manpower on complicated but systematic technology as well as sophisticated tool chains. Since this specialization demands maturity from its designers higher education like Post Graduate and Research Programs are vital to the development of modern economy. KCG College offers both Post Graduate and Research Program with state of the art tools like CADENCE and well equipped Laboratory facility.

Companies are nowadays spending heavily on product research and design. Hardware and telecom companies are increasing the product range to suit the need of their customers. VLSI Design, therefore, is helpful in reducing manufacturing time and development costs while increasing the product features.
Some of the leading firms that are providing career opportunities for the VLSI Design Engineers are Bangalore - based Alliance Semiconductors, Analog Devices, Arcus Technology, CoreEl Logic Systems, IBM Global Services, Lucent Technologies, Philips Semiconductors, Sage Design Systems, Infineon Technologies, INTEL, AMD, SASKEN, SI2 Technoogies,Texas Instruments (India), Wipro Ltd., Motorola India, etc. Some of the Delhi or Noida based firms are Artech Information Systems, Bi Square Consultants, DCM Data Systems, Centillium India Pvt. A pass in any degree of Anna University of Technology or equivalent with (10+2+3) year pattern with mathematics at +2 level or with mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
A pass in any degree with ( 10+3 (diploma) +3) years pattern with mathematics at diploma level or mathematics / statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
UNDERGRADUATE & POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Application for admission to a course should be made only in the prescribed form, which will be sent along with the prospectus.

All Students including Foreign Nationals and NRIs seeking admission to any course should attach xerox copies of the mark sheet of qualifying examination and proof of age, which are duly attested along with the application. The candidates should produce authentic certificate indicating the corresponding marks of each grade in the mark sheet.
Applications, which are incomplete or not accompanied by the prescribed documents and registration fee are liable for rejection.
The scrutiny committee will process the applications and provisionally select the students on merit. An interview will be conducted if necessary. The Applicants from distant places may be selected on the basis of merit without interview.
The final selection will be based on their marks in the qualifying examination, performance in the aptitude test and group discussion and interview.
If any candidate is found to have secured admission by fraudulent methods like presentation of forged certificates / dishonoured DD etc., he/ she will be dismissed from the college at any time during the courses and will forfeit the fees paid.
The admission notice will be sent to the selected candidates intimating the dates on which they should report at the admission office with the following original certificates.
After scrutiny of the above documents and payment of the prescribed fees, the student will report to the Principal, with the admission letter to join the course.
The date(s) of joining the course will be intimated in advance.
