Placement & Training

The Placement & Training Cell has a multifaceted function. The sole definition broadly includes

• Training & Personality Development by eminent Professionals / Companies.

• Industry Institute interaction to formalize joint working with industries through MoUs. Under an MoU with Infosys Technologies Ltd., "Campus Connect" program is being conducted.

• Placement through College campus/jointly with Hindustan University / Off campus through CUIC of Anna University.

• Entrepreneurship Development Programs to encourage the students to become job providers instead of job seekers.

• Guidance for higher studies by organizing seminars by reputed companies engaged in educational services like test preparation, counselling on admission, scholarships & visa formalities, etc.

The Campus Placements for 2011 batch of B.E / B.Tech / M.E / MCA students started with a pleasant note. Infosys Technologies recruited 99 of our students with a conversion ratio of 46.5% which indicates the quality of students and our training inputs.

18 Companies have recruited 170 students and percentage of placed students is 65%. Interview process was held both in our campus and in HITs. Some of the companies, besides Infosys, which have recruited our students are Ramco, L&T Infotech, Capgemini, HCL, Mahindra Satyam, American Megatrends, Syntel Inc, CTS, TCS etc. Our students also attended the placement drives organized by TNSLPP of Anna University.

The Placement drives by non IT Companies took place by the end of Feb and in March. The general recruitment trend by the leading companies is encouraging, this year.

Placement cell also organized a 5 day Workshop of Mission 10X by WIPRO, from 13th to 17th Dec 2010. 30 faculty members from our College, HITS and Thangavelu Engg. College participated. Mission 10X Workshop focused on enhancing the capability of the faculty by honing their teaching skills and exposing them to new teaching paradigms. This in turn will facilitate in developing key skills among students that would enhance their employability.

An advanced Workshop was conducted on Feb 28 2011 in our campus, for the faculty members who attended the above Workshop.

The students are trained in aptitude and soft skills both by the college faculty and by professionals from training institutions of repute.

KCG College of Technology, with its emphasis on Institution-Industry-Interaction is fast developing into a highly renowned institution with excellent infrastructure and specialized courses, moulding students yo achieve near 100% placement under the able guidance of the management.
